Service Project

We will be finishing the edges on the Fleece blankets that were donated for the woman in Africa.

Remember when Adel Kammeyer came and shared her wonderful experiences she has had by giving humanitarian service in Africa. Every year she goes with a team of doctors and nurses to take medical supplies and perform surgeries on the women there. They use these blankets to give to the woman after they have their surgeries. We still have many blankets that need the edges finished on them.

We apprieciate those who came it was a really neat to hear about her experiances. We also thank those who donated the fleece for the blankets! If you weren't able help out then, now you can! All we ask is if you could please help us finish the blankets. If you don't know how, that's ok we'll show you!

Freezer Meals

Wondering what to make for dinner tonight? No time to go to the store? Just open the freezer and choose from a variety of pre-made meals that are homemade and delicious! All meals can easily serve six but can be divided into smaller portions for a smaller family. Some of the prep work will be done for you so you can just bring your own containers and put your meals together. Instructions for thawing and serving will be provided as well. Sign-up for all the meals or choose your favorite. Pre-pay on or before October 11th.

Super Saturday: Birthday Calendar!

One of the other projects we'll be working on for Super Saturday is a Birthday Calendar. This project was alot of fun to make! It's great because it's so versatile and you can make it just how you like it. It is perfect to keep track of all the birthdays in your family. :)
The cost will be $5.

Coupon Class

From 10am – 11am - Special guest, Stacy Johnson will be sharing her fabulous ideas on how to save money on groceries. By using the website grocerysmarts.com and coupons from the mail and paper she’s been able to cut her grocery bill in half, sometimes more! She loves sharing her trick and we're really excited to have her come! Please let us know if you will be attending so we can make sure we have enough hand outs.

Alphabet Quiet Books

In the Alphabet book each page is one letter and has different pictures that start with that letter. Most of the pictures come from magazines, stickers or personal photos.
These Alphabet books will be $3 to cover the cost of cardstock, letters A-Z and glue. We'll have old magazines there for you to look through and use. Also we ask if you have any old magazines that you don't use to please bring them to share as well. For the rest you'll need to provide your own pictures and stickers. After they are finished you will be responsible for the laminating and binding or how ever you'd like to put it together.

Beaded Watch Bands

These are just a basic idea of the what the different watch bands will look like. Please understand that all beads may not be exact but, similar. Please let us know if you like the large and chunky or smaller styles. All watch bands will be $10.00 and $16 with the watch face. All materials will be put into a kit for you to put together. Also if there is something specific you'd like us to do feel free to check with me and I'm sure we could put something together. If you have any questions please leave a comment. We will have sign ups at church as well and we'll be taking orders until Oct. 11th

Here are the options for the watch faces, each face will have a number and then you can select the size, large or small, and the color. Most of the pictures give you the sizes at the top. All faces will be $6.

Super Saturday

Here is two of the things we will be making for Super Saturday.
They are countdown blocks for Halloween and/or Christmas.
The cost of each countdown will be $8.
They'll include everything you need to fully complete each set.
The fonts may differ from what is posted here.
There will be lots of different paper for you to choose from as well.

Morning Walks

Hey Ladies! We've started a little morning walking group. We meet up on the walking path right behind the elementary school (WT) after we drop the kids off at school. You can walk over or there's a little parking lot on the North side of the path too. So far we're going to meet every day when we can. So come join us it's fun to visit and get some excercise too!

Scrapbooking group!

Hey all you crafty scrapbookers!
I'm planning on having us meet on Friday night, July 17th at 7:00 PM. We'll meet at the church.

I encourage all to bring scrapbookish projects you're working on. I will also put together a kit of paper and a few embellishments for some to use if you would rather just bring pictures and have others help you out a little. The kit will cost a few dollars if you choose that option.
I'll be making a sample of an idea for a layout to post here. Of course, I will not keep your lovely imaginations from flowing with their creative juices!

There will be a sign up going around on Sunday. :)

So come enjoy a night out with the girls, and of course - yummy treats!

Walking Group!

Starting in July were going to be walking on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00pm (it's too hot at 7) and still at 9:00am on Saturdays! We've added Tuesdays now so we hope to see you all there!

Adel Kammeyer will be sharing the wonderful experiences she has had by giving humanitarian service in Africa. Adel is the wife of OBGYN Dr. Steven Kammeyer. Every year they go with a group of doctors and nurses to take medical supplies and perform surgeries on the women.

They are in need of fleece blankets to take with them on their next trip to Africa. If you'd like to donate please bring 2yds of fleece with you that night. We will be doing the edging on the blankets that night or you can bring them already done.

Walking for June

For the month of June we'll meet on Thursday nights at 7:00pm and Saturday mornings at 9:00am! So come on and get some exercise with us!

We will be making dish clothes - no previous experience needed. The cost is $2 if you need supplies provided for you.

Please leave a comment to sign up and let us know if you'll need supplies or there is a sign up sheet that will be going around at church.

If you already know how to crochet or knit please still come.
You can make dish clothes with us or bring what you're working on.
Remember, this is a great way to get know the sister's in the ward, and to fellowship your inactive/ non-member friends. Plus, it will be a lot of fun!

Walking Group!

Our walking group will start this week. Starting Thursdays @ 7:00PM and Saturdays @ 9:00AM meet at the track. This is a great place you can bring the kids along and let them run around and play while you get some exercise. If you have any questions please let us know!

Card Class Canceled

I just wanted to let those who signed up know that I canceled card class for this Friday May 8th. I just had to much on my plate. I will either reschedule for another time this month, or just have it in June. Thanks for understanding.

Here are the cards. This month I only did one card. This just shows all the different ways you can make this card. You can sign up by commenting on the Blog or in Church on the sign-up sheets. Just leave your name, # and how many. As always please only sign up if you can come because I buy the materials in advance. We have had more people coming which is so great. The more the better. We may have outgrown my house though. So if we need to we might have it at the ward. I'll let you know. Hope to see ya all there.

April 10th Card Class

Here are the new cards for April.
They are Both Birthday Cards this time. We will be having the class at my house again.(Sister Richards) @ 7:00pm April 10th.
The cost of the cards are $1 ea. To make these cards you will need to be there. You'll be able to choose your own colors and patterns. Sign up sheets will be going around this Sunday March 29th. You may also sign up here by leaving a comment and letting me know how many and which kind. We hope to see you there. We have lots of fun. Don't forget about the yummy treats.
